We hand selected exclusive and luxurious lodges and camps in stunning locations, offering excellent service and warm Namibian hospitality.

Once you have landed in Windhoek, you will collect your rental car and make your way to your booked accommodation. Use the rest of the afternoon to relax after your long flight, or alternatively visit some of the sights in town, such as the National Art Gallery with its local artwork, the renowned Christ Church or the National Museum of Namibia. You overnight at the The Weinberg hotel. You can enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants on the estate (own expense).

On your second day in Namibia, you will leave the capital Windhoek in northern direction. En route, you can stop at the craft market in Okahandja for souvenirs, baskets, wood carvings and beaded jewellery. At noon, you will reach the Okonjima Nature Reserve, a 200 km² nature and wildlife reserve on the edge of the Omboroko Mountains. In 1991, Okonjima founded the AfriCat Foundation which supports the protection and conservation of predators in their natural habitat. There are various projects that you can learn more about. With a little luck, you can spot leopards and other big game on your guided game drive. You spend the night in a view room at Okonjima Plains Camp.

Day 3 - 4 | Okonjima Nature Reserve – Onguma Nature Reserve

Today your journey continues to the Onguma Nature Reserve via Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb. This private game reserve shares its western border with the Etosha National Park. Onguma consists of over 20,000 hectares of protected wildlife area, with predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards, numerous plains game and rare black rhinos. Optionally, you can choose from a multitude of safari activities. On bush walks and game drives in a classic safari vehicle, you can discover the diverse fauna and flora of the reserve. Onguma lies just a few kilometres from Von Lindequist Gate. In Etosha National Park, you can go on a drive by yourself with your rental car or join a guided game drive (optional). You will stay at the luxurious Onguma The Fort, from where you have a spectacular view of the nearby waterhole and the Fisher’s Pan in the Etosha National Park.

Day 5 | Onguma Nature Reserve – Etosha National Park

On day five of your journey, you head for the famous Etosha National Park, which you enter through the Von Lindequist Gate. The national park was founded in 1907 and is one of the most fascinating national parks in all of southern Africa. Here you can watch wildlife such as herds of impalas, wildebeest, oryx and zebras, as they roam the plains. Stop along the way at the signposted waterholes to discover elephants, rhinos, giraffes or even lions and leopards. Later on, you will leave the park through the Anderson Gate and drive to your accommodation for the night, the beautiful Etosha Oberland Lodge only 10 km from the park entrance. For dinner, a 5-course menu awaits you with a view of the lodge’s busy waterhole. Afterwards, you can round off the evening with a good glass of wine by the fireplace in the lounge.

Day 6 - 7 | Etosha Region – Twyfelfontein

Full of new impressions and exciting safari experiences, you make your way to Twyfelfontein via Outjo and Khorixas. Make a stop near Khorixas along the way and explore the Petrified Forest with its over 200 million-year-old mineralised logs. Besides that, the Welwitschia Mirabilis grows here – a plant that is also known as a living fossil. Your destination is the unique Mowani Mountain Camp near Twyfelfontein. From the camp, you can visit the famous Twyfelfontein rock engravings, the organ pipes and the Burnt Mountain. Additionally, a guided safari where you will search for the wild desert elephants is included in your tour price.

Today you will continue your journey travelling through the Erongo Mountains until you arrive at your next accommodation, Omurenga Lodge. Go on a hike and explore the picturesque surroundings, characterised by gigantic granite rocks and a beautiful desert, hill and bush landscape. At sunset, you have the option to take a nature drive with a guide from the lodge or go on a short hike to enjoy fantastic views and the magical light across the plains. Alternatively, you can visit the charming town of Omaruru, which is known for the Kristall Kellerei Winery, a small chocolate factory and handicrafts. You will spend two nights at the stunning Omurenga Lodge.

Day 10 - 12 | Erongo Mountains – Swakopmund

After a relaxed breakfast, you will make your way to the coast. Make sure to stop at the Spitzkoppe on your way. Together with a local guide, you can explore the impressive rock formations, on which you find many ancient rock art. Ultimately, you will reach Swakopmund. Stroll through this charming coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean to get to know the area. Swakopmund is a base for a variety of activities: Whether you want to explore the dunes by doing sand boarding, quad biking or horse riding, take a sightseeing flight, a boat trip or do a desert safari following the traces of the Little Five – there is something for everyone here. You will stay at the At The Sea Guesthouse for three nights. Swakopmund also has a variety of restaurants.

Day 13 | Swakopmund – Namib Desert

After an early breakfast, you leave Swakopmund behind and travel south. In Walvis Bay, make sure to visit the lagoon where you often find flamingos. In the afternoon, you will reach Sesriem which is located at the edge of the Namib Naukluft Park.
Make yourself comfortable in today’s accommodation, the Hoodia Desert Lodge, before setting off on a sundowner drive with a guide from the lodge. Snacks and drinks are provided as you watch the glowing red sun disappear behind the horizon. On your return to the lodge, a delicious dinner awaits you before you retire to your chalet.

Day 14 | Explore Sossusvlei

You will have breakfast at the lodge before sunrise and then set off with an experienced guide in a 4×4 vehicle towards the Namib Naukluft National Park, which you will enter at sunrise. Get to know the fauna and flora of the desert while your guide drives you through the deep sand of the dry Tsauchab riverbed. Together with your guide, you will hike into Dead Vlei and Sossusvlei on lesser-used trails for the most exclusive experience possible. Your guide will inform you about the geological and historical background of the Namib.
Shortly before midday, you drive back to Elim Dune, where an extensive picnic awaits you under one of the camel thorn trees. After a short and tasty breather, you will visit the Sesriem Canyon, where you have the opportunity to hike down into the canyon, depending on your interests. You return to the lodge in the late afternoon and end the day relaxing by the pool or on your terrace.
You will spend another night at the Hoodia Desert Lodge.

It’s time to say goodbye to the desert. After a last delicious breakfast, you start the journey to the starting point of your tour in Windhoek. Depending on your departure time, you can run any last-minute errands in Windhoek. You then drive to the airport, drop off your hire car and start your return or onward journey.
