EXPERIENCE NAMIBIA YOUR WAY: PERSONALISED TRIPS FOR A UNIQUE ADVENTURE
Whether you want to see all the sites or take it slow and enjoy the moment, splurge in a luxury lodge or see the stars at a campsite in the desert, travel independently in a rental car or together with an experienced guide – we organise your tailor-made private tour in Namibia. Unique, personalised and just for you.
When to go
Your private Namibia tour starts and ends when you want it to – you’re flexible in choosing your preferred travel time.
Namibia is a year-round destination, but our travel experts will advise on the best travel time for the experience you are looking for: whether it is wildlife viewing, hiking, low or high season – and together you will find the ideal timing for you and your fellow travellers.
Dry Season

June to OctoberBest for wildlife viewing in Etosha National Park
While travel weather is good all year-round, the dry season between June to October is especially popular.
July to October is considered high season, but most parks and sites will still not feel crowded. However, it is advisable to book several months in advance if you want to travel during these months as your preferred accommodation may be booked up quickly.
The dry season is ideal for visits to Etosha National Park. Vegetation thins out and animals will congregate around waterholes which makes for easier wildlife viewing.
Green Season
November to MayBest for birding and low season rates
November to MayBest for birding and low season rates
Even during the wet season you will see blue skies and enjoy plenty of sunshine daily on your private Namibia tour.
The upsides of travelling during the low season: Not only will you benefit from lower rates, but also enjoy greener landscapes when nature comes alive after the rains at the beginning of the year. However, denser vegetation and ample water sources for animals make wildlife sightings more difficult.
On the other hand, if you’re a passionate birder, you will be happiest to travel during the green season when birding is at its best. Rain in Namibia comes in short bursts, usually in the afternoon and almost never last the whole day.
Accommodations
FAMILY FRIENDLY, ROMANTIC, REMOTE OR EASILY ACCESSIBLE
One of the benefits of a tailor-made Namibia tour is to be able to choose your preferred accommodations: Whether you want to have an adventurous experience sleeping in a tent or know a bucket-list lodge you have always wanted to stay at – you can choose, mix and match!
Our experienced travel experts have visited and experienced a vast amount of camps, lodges, guest houses and guest farms in Namibia and will share the ones they think will work best for you and your fellow travellers, whether you want stunning views, an intimate setup or a swimming pool.
Highlights of a private Namibia tour
Advantages of tailor-made tours in Namibia
While our small group tours are an excellent alternative for budget-conscious travellers, you will have a truly personalised experience on your private tour in Namibia. We can tailor every detail of your trip to create the holiday you’ve always dreamed of. And you can get involved in the planning as much or as little as you would like.
Private guided tours or self-drive road trips
You can go on a self-drive trip or a private guided tour in Namibia.
As the name suggests, on a self-drive trip you will drive yourself, travelling in a rental vehicle. We book your accommodations as well as the most suitable rental vehicle, advise on travel time and distances and share tips on things to see and do along the way. A self-drive road trip is a great option for couples or families who want to be spontaneous, travel independently and experience driving on the long and lonely roads of Namibia firsthand.
Alternatively, you will be joined by one of our professional guides on a private guided safari across Namibia. Travelling with your private guide has many advantages: As your guide is also your driver, you can sit back and relax, watching the landscapes pass by from your window-seat. Your guide will also share many useful information about wildlife, plant life, geography and culture. No guidebook can ever replace an experienced and passionate guide.
If you opt for a self-drive trip instead of a guided tour, you can still book guided game drives and guided day trips to benefit from the local knowledge of a professional guide.
You decide who joins the trip
Whether you travel solo, together with your partner, kids or a group of friends – you decide who joins your private tour across Namibia. Different from scheduled group departures, there will be no other travellers joining you.
If you decide to book a guided tour, your private guide will be with you during the day, but give you space to enjoy special moments in private. In Namibia, it is customary that guests and guide have dinner together; but if you’d like to enjoy the evening alone it is perfectly fine to say so as well.
Custom-designed itineraries and flexible dates
Start and end, and everything in between, is completely customisable on your tailor-made private Namibia tour.
We have sample itineraries to give you an idea of what Namibia has to offer but will adjust or plan from scratch according to your wishes and expectations.
Our travel experts will advise you on what’s possible in the time you have available and how to get the best value for your money. Driving distances in Namibia are long and we suggest our guests take it slow instead of rushing from one highlight to the next.
You can focus on special interest safaris
Whether you want to be active, go on hikes and climb the highest dunes of Sossusvlei, want to spend as much time as possible looking for wildlife in Etosha National Park or take a very close look at the rock art paintings in the Damaraland – we plan your trip around your preferences.
Private tours are especially well-suited for special interest safaris, such as photography, birding, or culture. Spend hours and hours looking for a specific lifer to add to your list or the light to be just right to take the photo of all photos – private tours offer the luxury of time at your disposal.
