VISIT THE HIGHLIGHTS OF NAMIBIA AND SOME OF OUR FAVOURITE SECRET SPOTS ALONG THE WAY

We take you to some of Namibia’s most popular highlights on our small group tours: Think Etosha, Sossusvlei, Damaraland and Swakopmund. While we show you the highlights, we make sure you have enough time to enjoy the small moments en route and opportunities to explore some of our favourite secret spots. With us, you won’t be simply ticking sites off your list, but make connections and memories that will last a lifetime.

When to go

Our small group tours start and end on specific dates which is why we also call them scheduled departures. We offer scheduled departures during the dry as well as the green season; this way you can choose to travel during the most popular travel months or during the low season benefitting from lower rates. Namibia is a great travel destination all year round and even during the green season, rain is localised and mostly limited to afternoon showers.

Dry Season

June to OctoberBest for safaris in Etosha National Park

June to OctoberBest for safaris in Etosha National Park

If you come to Namibia primarily to see the wildlife of Etosha National Park, then the dry season between June and October is the best time to travel for you. During the dry season, there is less vegetation which makes it easier to spot animals. Wildlife also comes to the few remaining waterholes in the park to drink; here you can see many different species of animals at a time. Make sure to bring warm clothes for chilly mornings during the dry season. Since July to October are the most popular months for a trip to Namibia, it’s best to book well in advance.

Green Season

November to MayBest for returnees and low season rates

We wouldn’t necessarily call the green season in Namibia rainy season as you may know it from other areas in the world. Even during the months November to May, you will see clear sunny skies and enjoy outdoor activities without getting wet. Rains and thunderstorms are localised and often occur in the afternoons. The wildlife loves the green season in Namibia as it’s easier to find food and water. Tourists on the other hand find it harder to spot wildlife during times of dense vegetation and ample waterholes. From October to around February temperatures sore and it can get very hot. Since the green season is less popular, rates are lower than in the dry season. If you have been to Namibia before, travelling during the green season will give you the chance to see Namibia in a totally different light.

Highlights of a small group tours in Namibia

What to expect on a small group safari and tour in Namibia

Marvelling at the golden sunrise over the red dunes of the vast Namib Desert, holding your breath when encountering a pack of hungry lions in Etosha National Park and learning about the way of life of the Himba from your local guide – a small group tour lets you explore Namibia up-close and experience magical moments in nature. All of that at an amazing price. And in return you will get an adventure that’s worth more than you would ever expect!

You will experience many of the natural highlights of Namibia as well as some hidden gems along the way.

The setup of our group tours and safaris

Our group tours run all year, starting and ending at a specific date and place. The itinerary is pre-booked and pre-planned, but on certain dates you have some time available to choose how to spend parts of the day and which activities you do.

You will be accompanied by our tour guide who will also drive your car. Your guide is an integral part of the tour, managing not only the smooth running of the daily itinerary but also paying close attention to each individual member of the group. They will ensure that you get the most out of your trip and have the experience you were looking for. An important advantage when travelling in a small instead of a larger group.

You will travel in our custom-designed 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers with pop-up roof and have a guaranteed window-seat from where you can enjoy undisturbed views and photo opportunities.

Travelling Namibia inevitably means spending a lot of time in the car, covering many kilometres of this vast and wide country. Time to connect with your fellow travellers, marvel at the stunning landscapes passing by your window-seat or learning interesting facts and stories about the region from your guide.

At night, you will stay in your private room at personal camps and lodges.

Travellers on our group tours come from around the world and are of all ages and backgrounds. Solo travellers, couples or friends, from students to retirees. An opportunity for open-minded travellers to meet and connect.

Advantages of Namibia guided group tours

If you’re unsure whether a guided group tour is for you, consider these advantages:

  1. Our group tours are designed for travellers who want to experience the highlights of Namibia without having to organise any of the logistics or even having to drive themselves. Everything is set up, everything is in place – you just have to book, show up and enjoy the ride.
  1. You benefit from excellent value-for-money. You share the cost for the safari vehicle with your fellow travellers. This means you benefit from the luxury of travelling in a custom-designed safari car and not having to drive yourself.
  2. You benefit from travelling with a local guide. We can’t stress enough how valuable it is to have an experienced guide by your side. They not only take care of ensuring the smooth running of logistics and drive your car across the long and bumpy roads. They also share their local knowledge with you – whether it’s facts about wildlife and history, or anecdotes from their personal life. Our guides are your window to connect with Namibia on a deeper level.

What to see and do on scheduled group holidays

Our group tours take you to many of the highlights of Namibian travel. If this is your first time visiting this vast country in Southern Africa, our tours will give you a great opportunity to get to know Namibia. We depart in Windhoek and tours can include Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and the Sesriem Canyon in the Namib Desert, Etosha National Park, the coastal towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, and the Damaraland with its black rhinos, rock art and beautifully wild landscapes. On crossing-border group tours, you can even visit the Chobe National Park in Botswana and the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. True highlights in Southern African travel. Activities can include game drives for wildlife viewing, hikes and walks, boat cruises and even (optional) adventure activities such as paragliding or sand boarding. While we do visit the most popular sites, our tours are not run-of-the-mill. Slowing down, spending more than one night at a special location, choosing hand-selected accommodations, and creating space and time to appreciate the small moments make our group tours a unique and personal experience.
