On this section of the trip, you are accompanied by our trusted partner on the ground. They not only hold the special permits but also have the deep knowledge required to navigate this remote area of Namibia.

As you step into the vibrant energy of Namibia at Windhoek International Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and assist with your rental 4×4 vehicles.

That first night, you’ll settle into a cozy lodge in Windhoek and savour a delightful dinner (own expense) at one of the city’s acclaimed restaurants. In the evening, your guide will share the thrilling details of the two-week adventure that awaits you in this breathtaking country, setting the stage for unforgettable experiences in Namibia’s stunning landscapes and rich culture.

We’ll set off from Windhoek, eager to embrace the breathtaking beauty of Namibia as we make our way to Henties Bay. Here we fill up on all water, and fuel requirements, and do last minute drinks and snacks shopping.

We stop in at Cape Cross to view the seal colony before heading more north along the coast to our overnight stop at St Nowhere. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure taking in the first of many amazing sunsets.

Day 3 | St Nowhere – Mowe Bay

After a hearty breakfast and a quick radio check, we’ll set off to the Skeleton Coast National Park. Entering the park at the Ugab River, we’ll savour a delicious lunch surrounded by the stunning scenery that defines this wild and untamed region. We stop at Terrace Bay, where we’ll refuel our vehicles one last time.

But the real adventure awaits! We’ll press on into the private concession of the Skeleton Coast, ready to embrace the solitude and breathtaking beauty of this extraordinary landscape. Here, beneath a vast sky, we’ll spend the night, our hearts alive with the thrill of exploration and the spirit of adventure!

As we pass the enchanting Sarusas Crystal Mine, the excitement builds, drawing us closer to the mesmerizing coastline. The sound of waves crashing against the shore fuels our passion as we continue our northward trek along the beach.

Finally, we’ll arrive at our campsite – a perfect oasis where we’ll set up for the next two nights. Here, surrounded by the dramatic interplay of land and sea, we’ll immerse ourselves in the raw beauty of the Skeleton Coast. Let the adventure begin!

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set out on an adventure towards the Kunene Mouth, driving along the stunning beach through the enigmatic Diamond Restricted Area.

This remarkable region teems with life, boasting 72 bird species, along with the majestic Nile crocodiles and the intriguing soft-shelled terrapins that call this place home.

Once we have explored the captivating Kunene Mouth, we’ll return to camp for a leisurely brunch, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of our surroundings. The afternoon will be ours to relax and recharge, embracing the serene rhythm of Namibia’s wild heart.

As the sun sets and the stars begin to twinkle, we’ll gather around the crackling fire. We will discuss the thrilling challenge of crossing the dunes that awaits us in the next two days. The spirit of adventure fills the air, and we can’t wait to embrace every moment!

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the enchanting dunes of Namibia once more, navigating their undulating beauty as we make our way to the breathtaking Hartmann’s Valley.

Upon reaching our wild campsite, the magic of the moment will envelop us. We’ll gather for a delicious dinner under a blanket of stars, the night sky illuminating our surroundings with a shimmering glow. As we share stories of our dune-crossing adventure, the excitement for the journeys that still lie ahead will fill the air, igniting our spirits and deepening our connection to this awe-inspiring land.

Day 8 – 9 | Hartman Valley – Puros

We’ll rise with the sun, ready to leave our picturesque campsite behind as we embark on an unforgettable journey south along the edge of the Skeleton Coast National Park. The anticipation builds as we navigate the breathtaking Hartmann’s Valley towards Puros, where a warm community camp awaits us by the Hoarusib River.

Our route promises adventure, taking us through sandy riverbeds and rocky jeep tracks, each twist and turn offering chances to spot Namibia’s remarkable wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic zebras, graceful giraffes, resilient gemsbok, swift springbok, and, if we’re lucky, even elephants roaming in their natural habitat. And let’s not forget the fascinating Stone Men, standing sentinel over this ancient land.

Though, it’s a long day of travel, we’ll savour every moment, taking our time to soak in the stunning scenery and capture the beauty of this wild landscape through our lenses.

By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Puros, greeted by the promise of refreshing camp showers and the tantalizing aroma of dinner being prepared under the shade of the magnificent Anna Trees. After our adventurous day on the road, we’ll embrace the tranquillity of a leisurely day around camp, soaking in the beauty of Namibia’s wild heart. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind, reflect on our journey, and connect with the stunning landscape that surrounds us.

For those with a thirst for adventure, an exciting option awaits! Join our guide on a thrilling drive to seek out the elusive desert elephants in the Hoarusib River. These magnificent creatures, perfectly adapted to their arid environment, embody the spirit of resilience and grace. Day 10 – 11 | Puros – Mudarib River

We’ll rise early, ready to embrace the adventure that lies ahead as we drive towards Sesfontein, the gateway to the mesmerizing Kaokoveld. Here, we’ll refuel our vehicles for the final stretch of our journey and have the chance to stock up on snacks and refreshing beverages from the local shops – a perfect way to fuel our spirits.

After our stop, we’ll hit the road again, savouring a delightful lunch by the roadside just 30 kilometres outside of town. With our hearts full and our eyes wide open, we’ll then venture into the stunning Ganamub Riverbed trail, where the landscape begins to transform, drawing us deeper into the wild.

As we connect with the Hoanib River trail, the thrill of the afternoon will unfold. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our bush campsite in the enchanting Mudarib River. The next morning we’ll rise with the sun, the excitement palpable in the crisp morning air as we set out in search of the elusive black rhinos that roam this captivating Kaokoveld region. Known for their reclusive nature, these magnificent creatures are most active during the early hours, and our hearts race at the prospect of encountering them in their natural habitat.

After our thrilling morning drive, we’ll return to camp for a well-deserved brunch. In the late afternoon will beckon us to the stunning Mudarib River, where we’ll embark on another drive, soaking in the breathtaking scenery. We’ll pause for a refreshing sundowner, watching the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant colours as the sun dips below the horizon. With spirits high and hearts full, we’ll make our way back to camp for a delightful dinner, under the stars of the Kaokoveld.

We’ll pause for lunch under the cool shade of whatever trees we find, where the vibrant sounds of nature surround us. After lunch, we’ll tackle the final stretch to Palmwag, each moment brimming with the promise of discovery.

As we arrive at this stunning destination, we’ll gather for a special dinner prepared by our talented bush chef, celebrating the culmination of our incredible journey through Namibia. With delicious food, laughter, and the spirit of adventure in the air, we’ll toast to the unforgettable experiences we’ve shared in this wild and beautiful land!
