She put together a 13-day itinerary that fit our interests, pace, and budget perfectly, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into the planning. Nothing felt generic — every stop made sense and flowed well.

Once we arrived in Namibia, everything ran very smoothly. Transfers, routes, and accommodations were well organised, and we could just relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.

Our driver and guide Felix truly made the trip special. He was extremely knowledgeable about Namibia — its history, wildlife, and especially birds — and was always happy to share what he knew. Just as importantly, he was very kind and attentive. The weather was very hot at times, and my mother has some back issues, but Felix was always careful, patient, and thoughtful, making sure she was comfortable and never rushed. He was also just genuinely nice company, which matters a lot on a long road trip.

As for Namibia itself, it’s an incredible country. The landscapes are diverse and breathtaking, the wildlife and plant life are fascinating, and meeting people from different communities and tribes added so much depth to the journey. It’s easily one of our most memorable trips.

I would happily recommend both Namibia as a destination and Namibia Experience / Africa Experience as a travel agency, and wouldn’t hesitate to travel with them again.

The Planning:
Mia did a stellar job planning and booking everything. The itinerary she designed perfectly balanced our budget constraints with quality. Her lodge selections were spot-on: The Delight in Swakopmund had exceptional breakfast options, Etosha Safari Lodge's pool overlooking giraffes was unforgettable, and spending New Year's Eve at Le Mirage Resort was magical - the sunset colours defy description.
The camping selections were great too.

Ewald (Guide) and Valentine (Driver):
This is where Namibia Experience truly delivered value. Ewald wasn't just knowledgeable about Namibian history and bush lore - he shared insights at random moments when something was worth pointing out, never forced or scripted. More importantly, he was happy to look after our children while adults tackled more challenging hikes. Valentine's perpetual good demeanour and smile kept everyone happy despite long, bumpy drives.

Flexibility:
Weather and group dynamics required last-minute adjustments - some mornings, family members needed rest rather than early starts. Ewald and Valentine replanned on the spot without us missing any key experiences. This adaptability with a group our size is impressive.

The Practical Bits:
The truck was spacious and comfortable despite rough roads. Camping equipment was functional rather than luxurious, but that was our brief - we wanted expertise and good planning, not fancy gear, and they respected that completely. Frequent stops were organised for the children, making long drives manageable.

Bottom Line:
We briefed Namibia Experience that we valued knowledgeable staff and smart planning over luxury equipment. From Mia's pre-trip planning through to Ewald and Valentine's flawless execution and last-minute adaptations, everything worked seamlessly. A trip our entire family will never forget.
